Nordic walking was born in the middle of the 1990s, out of a collaboration between Finnish professional athletes, doctors and the sports industry. Walking sticks turn a traditional hike into an efficient, full-body workout. Half of our muscles are above hip-level. Nordic walking particularly trains and strengthens the muscular system of the abdomen, chest and arms, while reducing strain on the back, knees and ankles, and pain in the shoulder and neck areas.
